ALBURY/WODONGA FIELD NATURALISTS AGM
ALBURY/WODONGA FIELD NATURALISTS AGM
Passing the baton ! Matt and Elizabeth

Over 30 people attended the 2005 AGM for the A/W Field Nats. After many years at the helm, Matt Herring stood aside as President with Elizabeth Wise being elected in his place.

Matt’s knowledge, enthusiasm and drive have been an important ingredient of the Field Nats. success and no doubt this will continue even as an "ordinary" member.

Two young Charles Sturt University Honours students spoke at the meeting, Emily Mendham, as the Field Naturalists Award winner and Rob Seusse who is asking for help to complete his project at Wonga Wetlands in determining the effect of human visitors on Wonga’s bird population. Emily is heading off to the Moulemein/Hay area to assess landholder attitudes to revegetation using native species.

Damien Michael with a couple of "local identities"

Reptile "identity" Damian Michael gave an excellent slide presentation and talk on local (and a few blow-ins) reptiles. He was most informative and entertaining and his specimens and images were terrific.
