Five local schools have agreed to participate in the Schools’ Environment Project at Wonga Wetlands and Galen College began work on one of the main areas today.

The project involves weed removal, native plant identification and mapping, fencing and replanting with indigenous species.

The other schools and sites are Jindera Public at the “Frog Pond”, Albury North Public at the “Kangaroo Grass” remnant, Albury West Public at the “Rainbow Serpent” and Lavington East Public at the riparian “beach”. Progress on the Project will be reported regularly.
