JINDERA PS GETS DOWN AND DIRTY IN THE FROG POND !
The Frog Pond before we started

A most enthusiastic group from Jindera Public School began work to rehabilitate the Wonga Wetlands "Frog Pond" as part of the Schools’ Environment Project.

The Team hard at work !!
Mapping trees and measuring their height.

Mapping the area to record what native plant species were present was an important task and then came the weeding to try to get rid of all the unwanted plants.

What do we do next ??
Getting Down and Dirty !!

This was the first of three visits by the school and the progress already is terrific. Next time the weed control will continue, there will be some planting of native species and the introduction of some “frog-friendly” habitat such as rocks and logs. Congratulations to a great team from Jindera !!!
