The students are working with teachers Ann Hill and Belinda O’Keeffe, Wonga Wetlands staff member Simon Willams and “Big Kev”, (Kevin Ebsworth), to better understand some of the practices and concepts important to aboriginal culture.
These ideas will be incorporated into the film and their work at Wonga Wetlands includes visits to the Wiradjuri Campsite, an introduction to indigenous implements such as boomerangs, spears and coolamons and an art lesson with Simon. The filming will take place over three weeks.
