Umbrella Sedge

A non-native perennial, the Umbrella Sedge grows to 1m.

The flowering part of the plant (inflorescence) is composed of clusters of green and brown flattened spikelets.

While it provides a habitat for small animals, it is also useful for stabilisation. Common in damp areas, it competes well against less desirable species.
