Growling Grass Frog

Sometimes called the Southern Bell Frog, this frog was once very common, but appears to now be in decline.

They are similar in appearance and habit to the Green and Golden Bell Frog. Adults can grow to between 80-95mm in length, and are cannibalistic.

They breed in summer and are found in vegetation at the edges of waterways.
