Growing to an average length of 1.5m, the highly venomous Eastern Brown Snake is found in a range of habitats along the entire length of the east coast of Australia.
Adults can vary in colouring from pale brown to nearly black, depending on their habitat.
Feeding mainly on reptiles and small animals, they kill their prey by venom and constriction.
Females lay clutches of between 10 and 35 eggs.
