Tiger Snake

Also known as the Eastern or Mainland Tiger Snake, adults can grow up to 1.2m in length.

Highly venomous and sometimes aggressive when aroused, they are widespread throughout south-eastern Australia. Feeding mainly on frogs, they are found in a range of habitats.

Females give birth to live young (viviparous), with about 30 in a litter.
