Wiradjuri Cultural and Education Centre

It has long been the desire of the Wiradjuri People to establish a facility where visitors and locals alike could observe and therefore better understand their history and culture.

This has come to pass with the development of the Wiradjuri Cultural and Education Centre utilising a grant from the NSW Government and a great deal of in-kind work and support from AlburyCity.

The working Campsite has been set out according to tradition and signage and leaflets explain the various components of the site.

School, university, community and departmental groups use the site and casual visitors observe the campsite and the Wiradjuri display in the Wonga Wetlands Visitor’s Centre at any time. Special events to be held at The Wiradjuri Cultural and Education Centre are advertised in the media and in the “Latest News” on the Welcome page on this Website.
