During Water Week, Wonga Wetlands and The Aquatic Environment Education Centre hosted a number of groups involved in a variety of activities. The first of these was an evening Walk and Talk where visitors were introduced to Wonga and then went for a walk out to the Lagoons at dusk to observe and listen to the activities of some of the birds and frogs. The most active of these (on a sound scale!!) was Peron’s Tree Frog, a common species, but rarely heard during the day.

The following day was the “Pram Walk” where a group of mothers with babes in prams went for a guided walk through some of the wetlands, to observe and perhaps learn a little more about the flora and fauna of Wonga Wetlands.
