Liz Heta the story teller
More and more schools are asking for the opportunity to expand their studies in aboriginal culture. Up until now The Aquatic Environment Education Centre at Wonga Wetlands has been able to provide art lessons though Simon Williams and limited camp tours and storytelling through Liz Heta and “Big Kev”, but this grant will allow us to provide a much greater range of resources and personnel and allow the student s to have full “immersion” in the Wiradjri experience.

There will be Kev Ebsworth demonstrating the various campsite implements and weapons, Liz Heta telling stories and Simon Williams leading a camp tour and cooking his renowned damper with the help of the two resident Wonga-ites, John Hawkins and Mike Copland. Congratulations to the Murray Catchment Management Authority for their foresight and generosity.
